The state-recognised, bilingual JSS college forms the upper secondary school (years 11 to 13) of the Josef-Schwarz-Schule. In our innovative new building in Heilbronn, students enjoy a modern learning environment inspired by the culture of dynamic start-ups – with digital equipment, a wide choice of courses and an international atmosphere. In addition to the Abitur of the state of Baden-Württemberg, students also have the opportunity to obtain an international Abitur certificate – providing the ideal foundation for further studies and careers, both in Germany and abroad.
We focus on both academic excellence and personal growth. With a broad range of courses, students can set individual priorities and actively develop their strengths. Core subjects and binding elective subjects prepare them for academic studies and future careers, while a supportive environment helps each student reach their full potential.
Our college is is located in the innovative new building of the Josef-Schwarz-Schule in Heilbronn’s Neckarbogen district. Inspired by modern start-up culture, the space features flexible learning areas, open collaboration zones and state-of-the-art equipment. It’s an environment that fosters creativity, teamwork and independent thinking.
Alongside the regular Abitur, students can earn the International Baden-Württemberg Abitur – an additional certificate available only at bilingual schools. It attests to an advanced level of English and provides a real advantage when applying to universities abroad.
Our international college environment promotes not only bilingual fluency but also intercultural skills, tolerance and global awareness. By the time they graduate, students speak English at a near-native level – comparable to an extended stay in an English-speaking country.
We place a strong emphasis on science, technology, economics and mathematics – subjects that shape the future. As one of the few schools in Baden-Württemberg, we offer computer science as an advanced level subject. Through experiments, coding, projects and student-run businesses, we make learning hands-on and relevant. This strengthens scientific thinking, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills.
As a certified “Digital School”, we fully integrate digital media into everyday learning. Each student receives a personal Surface device and works with Microsoft Teams and innovative learning tools. This approach builds digital literacy and independent working skills – essential for success in a connected world.

Absolutely. Our bilingual concept offers students a truly bilingual school day. This means that German and English are equally present in everyday school life, both in language and culture. We also incorporate many aspects of British and American school culture into our daily routines.
